Abstract

METHOD OF READING INFORMATION ON THE BASIS OF MEMORY ELEMENTS WITH CHARGE-COUPLED DEVICES

E. А. Кerimov*

ABSTRACT

Infrared-sensitive composites based on iridium-silicon silicide togetherwith charge-coupled device (CCD) multiplexers can be used to createmonolithic photo matrices that can be used to acquire images in the 3-5μm infrared region. Although these photodetectors have very limitedquantum efficiencies, they have very little noise. Thermal imagersbased on IrSi-Si are successfully and widely used in the nationaleconomy, in the early detection of cancer and other diseases, fromaircraft and even from space to detect oil and gas fields, to detect leaks in oil and gaspipelines, and mainly in the direction of environmental problems - in the detection of forestfires, groundwater pollution, volcanic eruptions, etc.
